WHO CAN BECOME A PATIENT?
Dr. Jarvela only treats adult women. She currently services the residents of Oregon and Washington. Dr. Jarvela does not treat children or men.

PRIMARY CARE VS. SPECIALTY CARE
Dr. Jarvela will function as your holistic specialty care doctor, she is not your Primary Care Physician. She highly recommends you have a local PCP for acute and primary care issues.

INSURANCE
Dr. Jarvela is out of network with all insurance plans. The fee for your visit is paid at the time of service. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may request codes to be added to your invoice for self-submission to your insurance. We do not directly file insurance claims. Membership options are also available.
About Your Virtual Sessions

The first visit is 60-90 minutes, your intake forms will be reviewed, your health and your story will be heard and then many questions will be asked. Conventional bloodwork and/or specialty Lab testing will be ordered.

The second visit is scheduled 2-4 weeks following your initial visit. This visit will take 30-45 minutes. Your lab results will be discussed with you, allowing plenty of time for questions and education. Treatment options will be recommended.

Third and fourth visits: These visits will be scheduled for 6-12 weeks depending on your unique case.
PATIENT PORTAL
Dr. Jarvela uses Elation EMR. This allows direct messaging with Dr. Jarvela between your visits. This can be helpful for clarification on lab instructions and treatment plan directions.
LABS & BLOODWORK
You can use your in-network local lab, such as Quest or Labcorp as an option for bloodwork. The lab processing the bloodwork directly handles the billing of these labs.

Dr. Jarvela also contracts with multiple Co-Op labs allowing deeply discounted bloodwork lab pricing, this is a great option for those who are uninsured or have high deductibles.

Specialty labs, such as testing for gut issues, SIBO, food sensitivities, and mycotoxin/mold are also available. Specialty tests are typically billed directly to the patient, they usually range between $97-297. We believe strongly in financial transparency and will always discuss the fees of specialty testing before ordering.

PERSCRIBING MEDICATIONS
Dr. Jarvela holds a DEA license and prescribes conventional medications, as needed. She will call these medications into your local pharmacy. She also utilizes Compounding Pharmacies, such as Lloyd Compounding Pharmacy, for specialty compound medications such as Bioidentical hormones and Low Dose Naltrexone.

VITAMINS & SUPPLEMDNTS
Existing patients have access to our online dispensary Fullscript. This allows you to order your supplements online and have them shipped to your home, a 10% discount is available on all orders. Of course, you are welcome to purchase your supplements anywhere that is convenient for you!
